Metal Detector Repair/Calibration Technician:
This job is based in Travelers Rest SC but requires nationwide travel 30%-40%.
This person will represent Fastec’s standards of excellence while executing their day-to-day responsibilities in the repair and calibration of industrial metal detectors.
The ideal candidate would have previous experience with Mettler Toledo, Loma, Thermo-Fisher or any other metal detector brands as full training will be given.
Repair industrial food, pharma, and textile metal detectors in our repair shop and onsite at customer locations.
The ideal candidate would have experience in the following areas:
Oscilloscope, Multimeter, Mechanical skills, Pneumatic experience, Control electrics experience, All or some of these skills will be considered as full training will be provided.
He/she will possess a high aptitude in both electrical/electronic and mechanical areas, with the ability to
diagnose metal detector equipment functional problems related to circuit boards, software menu setups etc. (Training Provided).
Responsibilities:
Travel to customer locations to perform repairs and calibrations.
Complete electronic service reports.
Maintain company work standards, equipment and policies.
Adhere to company safety rules and regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $40,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year

Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 4:30pm
Ability to commute/relocate: United States: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Education: Associate (Preferred)
Work Location: In our repair shop and on the road travelling to US based customers facilities
